We were delighted to bring our Essence Summer School of Worship and Mission to Birmingham (UK). This was a first for MIW and very much the result of prayer by our local Base and their heart for Birmingham. We were hosted by Kings Community Church in Oldbury, where 30 students from the UK, Europe, and beyond were taught Movement, Rhythm, and Spirit Led Encounters.
We then took these skills out to Beacon Hill overlooking Birmingham. Here we were blessed with good weather enabling us to see the wide ranging landscape that is Birmingham. We creatively worshipped and prayed seeking God’s blessing for Birmingham and interceding for its land and people.
The following day, we went right into the centre of the City. Outside St Martin’s church in the Bullring, we engaged with people using movement, rhythm and spirit led encounters. We were able to bless so many and we, in turn, felt blessed.
It was a special and powerful time. Look out for next year’s location, when it’s released. You won’t want to miss it!
