It may not have been Andy and Kirsty’s first trip to India, but it was mine with MIW; I LOVED it! Michelle Tennens of ‘Psalm Drummers’ also joined us a few days later, and the four of us began an extremely enjoyable but busy time exploring movement and drumming in an international setting.

3 of us had accommodation where we ministered which saved a lot on travel time –it took all of 100 steps to arrive. The welcome from family in Christ who were experienced in expressing wonderful & sincere hospitality – daily – is something I truly appreciated. (The Puri or dosai breakfasts and various curried meals made for us were delectable.)

In India the YWAM School of Worship (SOW) was comprised of students and staff (some staff had participated on previous MIW schools before, however this didn’t stop them growing in their knowledge and experience; if anything, they seemed to press in even more with sincere & hungry hearts).  During the 2 morning worship times that our team led the worship was – for me – amazing.  The collaboration of the movement, drumming, musical instruments, singing and passionate hearts all flowed together in powerful harmony. The place of the prophetic focussed everyone’s heart and face towards the loving reality of our Father’s tangible and loving Presence.

Taking this expression of worship into churches was also appreciatively received.  One activity (at a half night of prayer meeting at NLAG Church) was to lead a procession that declared the truths of God’s Kingdom on the Earth.  It was a powerful time with hundreds of people (including some children) split into 2 groups, following behind large banners and shouting truths of faith into the atmosphere.  As a church they chose to speak blessings of life, which will inevitably bear fruit.   Additionally during a Sunday service a group from the SOW used Dynamic Mass Sculpture.  Andy and Kirsty believed this was an important aspect in developing a home-grown team of worshippers to equip the local church.

I didn’t want to leave the new friends I had made in India, but it was time to fly on to Sri Lanka…
