Movement in Worship Invited to Perform at Edinburgh International Festival Event

Movement in Worship (MIW) is delighted to announce that we have been invited to participate in Together We Rise, a major community celebration commissioned as part of the renowned Edinburgh International Festival.

Founded in 1947 to bring people together through the arts in the aftermath of the Second World War, the Edinburgh International Festival is recognised as one of the world’s most prestigious cultural events. Together We Rise is a specially commissioned production, and MIW has been specifically selected to contribute its distinctive visual ministry as part of this significant celebration.

Joining more than 360 performers, MIW will bring its colourful signature artistry to the heart of Edinburgh through the use of large worship flags and jumbo ribbons, creating bold, sweeping visual displays for the public. With up to 30 participants involved, our team will form a striking and memorable element of the wider performance.

MIW’s involvement will feature throughout both the pop-up performances and the grand finale, making our contribution one of the key visual components of this exciting community celebration.

We are honoured to be part of this landmark event and look forward to sharing the beauty, creativity, and message of worship through movement with audiences from across Scotland and beyond.
